Choosing sanitary ware for the bathroom: the best models of 2018
At the recent exhibition MosBuild 2018, new plumbing products from many popular manufacturers, both from the CIS and from around the world, were presented. What do designers of nominal brands suggest using to create a stylish and attractive bathroom interior?
Squeak of fashion now – wooden sinks! This one is from the Woodglam Prthugal brand. Its feature is surface treatment with high-density varnish, which not only protects wood from moisture, but also additionally emphasizes the noble structure of this natural material (the Portuguese use oak to produce their goods).
By the way, in Woodglam not only washbasins are made of wood, but even bidets and toilet bowls – you can look at these unusual designs on the company’s website woodglam.pt
Bravat’s Magic Cube faucet is made of brass, has a flexible handle and spout that can be rotated through 360 °, as well as a durable ceramic valve. This mixer is chrome-plated and attracts attention with its unusual cubic shape.
The Deri crane from Bravat is designed to connect to a drinking water filter. Interestingly, water from it can be collected only if you place a glass or a cup on a special wooden stand. A ceramic cartridge is integrated inside the faucet, which is responsible for the additional cleaning of the fluid. And thanks to the high spout from it, you can fill any narrow containers.
The Tiarra faucet from the Artize premium brand (a division of the Indian company with a worldwide name Jaquar Group) is distinguished by its original rounded shape, the design of which was designed by designer Michael Foley. You can turn on and off the water using the inner ring. According to the author, such an unusual configuration of the mixer, more reminiscent of the original jewelry (yes, the name seems to hint), helps prevent water overruns.
Tailwater faucet from the same Artize brand and the British designer Claudia Danelon has a more classic design and smooth shapes. Its main advantage is very easy and smooth adjustment of the jet of water and its temperature.
The overhead shower AXOR ShowerHeaven 1200 from the German company Axor has a metal casing with a length of 120 and a width of 30 cm with a built-in water light. When turning on the shower, the flow of water can consist of 3 different types of jets at once: concentrated (massage), rain and “silky drops” of PowderRain, which are formed using a new system consisting of very thin silicone nozzles. At the same time, jets can be combined as one, and they can be switched on separately.
Toilet bidet Cleanet Riva from the Swiss company Laufen. Inside it is built a system of self-cleaning of limescale, as well as an air purifier with a carbon filter. To use it, a special control panel is used.
